ME VS. BEAUBOURG !
By sueing the Centre national dart et de culture Georges Pompidou, the
French artist Fred Forest wanted a trial for an example. To have been
dismissed by the Conseil d'Etat doesnt matter, as the aim was to
denounce the lack of clearness of both Beaubourg and the Institutions as
far as trading of Modern Art is concerned, to denounce them for not
following the contents of the 1978 law about clearness of public
accounts. By refusing to give these informations, they are causing the
problem of the opacity of the public power, and they are leading to fall
apart, and they deprive citizens of their legitimate right of
controlling the use of their money, that is the public money. It is a
trial for the citizens, with symbolic signifiance, as the involved
artist is not defending his own interest.
