THE TERRITORIAL BUILDINGS

The territorial buildings are made up of two side wings and a central column. All its rooms, of different shapes and sizes, are exposed to the North and South. They are 18 in all, without taking into consideration the corridors, entrance halls, stairs or the shed. Each of the rooms serves a specific purpose directly related to the national, administrative and artistic activities of the place.

And many more to visit as long as you come equipped with your "universal" foot.

OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS

In virtue of the concept at the heart of its founding the Territory may be considered an independent state within the French Nation. A number of signs and symbols exist as legitimate proof of this status, such as different certificates of distinction, citizenship papers, artistic square metre title deeds , a calendar of days to celebrate and a list of civil holidays. For the full exercise of its sovereign power the Territory has an organization all its own, endowing it with full spiritual autonomy and enabling it to treat diplomatically with other legally constituted States on a one to one basis.
